Helen MacKenzie is the Managing Director of Avalon New Worth, the Artemis Ventures Fund, Co-Capital Partners and President of MacKenzie & Associates, Inc. She advises venture and private equity funds, early – mid stage companies and entrepreneurs in a variety of industries.
She was Managing Director of multi-billion dollar Softbank Technology Ventures; partner and advisor to early stage Peregrine Ventures and advisor/partner to more than a dozen other venture and private equity funds She is an advisor, board member or investor to dozens of digital media and enterprise software companies helping them to identify market and business risk along with strategic and tactical plans to successfully manage risk to increase revenue, profits and achieve successful exits.
Previously, she was a Bank of America Vice President alternating between the Bank’s Credit Committee and managing corporate lending group. She helped establish the Bank’s risk rating for the non-troubled portfolio, the first global bank to do so. She grew her lending portfolio to be larger than the combined commitments of the numerous venture capital firms she banked.
Ms. MacKenzie was a founding Board Member of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children, a Board Member of the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, The Junior League of Palo Alto, two horticultural organizations (Past President) and other non-profits. She is Audit, Investment Chair and board member of Palo Alto Senior Housing Project, Inc. aka Stevenson House. Stevenson House provides affordable housing to low income seniors.
Ms. MacKenzie was recognized as a Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. She has a Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses.
