Marc Pentopoulos
Marc Pentopoulos, joined Avalon Net Worth in 2013, bringing over 15 years of public and private market healthcare industry experience.
In addition to his work at Avalon, Mr. Pentopoulos continues as a manager of Symmetry Capital Management a Healthcare industry investment firm which he co-founded in June 2007. He previously was a Member of EGM Medical Technology Fund, a hedge fund he co-founded in 1997. In January 2001, Barron's announced that EGM Medical Technology as the 5th overall ranked hedge fund for 2000. Mr. Pentopoulos was also the founder and portfolio manager of Vista Point Capital and Genaissance Capital. Mr. Pentopoulos was previously a research analyst at Perceptive Life Sciences, Genesis Merchant Group and began his career in the investment-banking group at Cowen & Co.
Mr. Pentopoulos has an MBA from the Wharton School and graduated with honors from UC Berkeley with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Molecular Biology and Economics. He holds Series 79 and 63 FINRA licenses with Avalon Securities, Ltd.
